An Encouraging Word

GO THROUGH!

Psalms 23:4 (KJV) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Have you ever been in a place of fear?  It’s not a good place.  Today’s verse is not based on feeling, but upon David’s confidence in His God.

David understands that although he is going through, God is with him. With confidence David looks at his valley experience differently, he says, “thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” It would seem that the rod would be a negative thing . That which is used to correct is now guiding.

I remember when the disciples were on the ship; the storm came, and Jesus’s disciples woke Him up.   Jesus scolded them for their “little faith.” He wanted them to rest in the assurance that He was with them on the ship.

Today, I want you to know, “He is with you!”  The LORD Himself comes to escort us through the valley.  “DO NOT FEAR ‘NO’ evil.”

What is a Valley? A lull between two mountains.  Don’t stop in the valley, but keep walking.  Notice David did not say run, but walk.  Walking is a steady progression of steps of faith.

“GO THROUGH”!
